Michelle Nikmehr, a sophomore at Palos Verdes, won the girls varsity 2-mile race in a personal-best 12:47.52 at the season-opening Palos Verdes Mini Meet at the Palos Verdes Course in California. Palos Verdes had five athletes finish in the top 20 to edge Mira Costa by a 46-47 margin.
